Fuggle (UK)
The UK Version of Fuggle is an aroma hop that has an alpha acid of 2.4-6.5% and a beta acid of 2-4%. You may sometimes see Fuggle as Fuggles, but these are the same.
It has aromas described as delicate, mild, wood, grass and mint with slightly floral aromas and green tea notes. It has a well rounded classic bittering with woody spiciness of tonka beans, cognac, hay and curry all with the light nuances of green tea again as well as cress and celeriac which add a delightful freshness.
It is recommended for use in Porters, Stouts, Milds, Bitters, English Pale Ales, English Ales, American Pale Ales, Lambics, ESBs, Pale Ales and Brown Ales.
Some possible substitutions for Fuggle (UK) are Willamette (US)/Willamette (BC), Fuggles (US), Styrian Golding and East Kent Golding (EKG).
