Sultana™ (Denali™)

Sultana™ was renamed from Denali™ in 2019. It was originaly released by Hopsteiner with Cultivar/Brand ID #06277 under Denali™ in 2016. Sultana™ is a USA dual purpose hop that has an alpha acid of 13-16% and a beta acid of 3.5-7%. Occasionally you will see it under its nickname Nuggetzilla!

Sultana™ is rich in pineapple, citrus (often perceived as lemon) and pine flavors which can come across as spicy.

It is best utilized in IPAs.

Possible substitutions for Sultana™ include Columbus (US), Tomahawk, Zeus, CTZ or Nugget (US).

It frequently is available in Lupulin Powder/Pellet form under brands like Cryo-Hops and LUPOMax. It is often available in hop oil/extract and in whole leaf hop form.

Sultana™ pairs well with many different hops but is most commonly seen in use with Citra® and El Dorado®.
