Meridian
Meridian is a USA Grown aromatic hop with an alpha acid of 5-7% and a beta acid of 6-9%. It is typically used only in late boil additions which includes dry hopping. It is owned by Indie Hops and has a Cultivar/Brand ID of w12244.
It has aromas of Citrus (think Lemon), Mixed Berry, Tropical Fruit and Spearmint. There are touches of meyer lemon, boysenberry, spearmint, sassfras, and sweet-tart pineapple.
It works very well when combined with more aggressive hops in IPAs to brighten the overall impression of the beer and lend a really fantastic seductive finish.
It is a great choice for use in Belgian Ales, Pale Alges, Lagers, IPAs, NEIPAs, Helles, Pilsners, Kolschs, Stouts, Porters, Dark Ales, Farmhouse Ales, Saisons and Wheat Beers.
If you need a substitute for Meridian we recommend Citra®, Glacier, and Centennial (US)/Centennial (BC).
