Santiam

Santiam is a USA grown aroma hop that has an alpha acid range of 5-9% and a beta acid range of 5.3-9%. It is was released in 1997 by the USDA and was grown from Tettnang, Hallertau Mittelfruh and a offspring derived from Cascade. This heritage gives it a uniquely noble characteristic.

There are aromas of black pepper, floral and spice.

Santiam is a solid choice for your Lagers, Pilsners, Belgian Tripels, Kolsch, Bocks, Helles, Wheat Beers and Belgian Ales.

You could substitute Citra®, Spalt, Spalter Select or Tettnanger for Santiam.
