This Candaian (British Columbia to be exact) grown varietal of Nugget is a dual purpose hop that has an alpha acid range of 3-6% and a beta acid range of 3-6%. It is the same strain as US Grown Nugget just instead grown in Canada in British Columbia. It features excellent high alpha bittering similar to Nugget (US).
It has mild, pleasant and herbal aromas.
Nugget (BC) could be used in yours Ales, Stouts, Barleywines, Saisons, Biere de Gardes, and IPAs.
Substitutions for Nugget (BC) include Nugget (US), Galena, Magnum (US), Columbus (US), Tomahawk, Zeus, and CTZ.
Frequently Nugget (BC) is paired with other hops and most often is seen with Citra®, Centennial (US), Cascade (US), Chinook (US), Summit™, Simcoe® and Crystal.
