Sasquatch®
Sasquatch® is a Canadian grown dual purpose hop that has an alpha acid range of 5-7.3% and a beta acid range around 8.2%. It is Canada's first proprietary, patented hop. It was discovered as a wild hop by Hops Connect Canada in Pemberton, British Columbia.
There are aromas and flavors of orange, tea, lemon and citrus notes. The resinous woody tones and orange are the most prevelant but there is some mint and even grape tones that have been noted. There are definiate appleblossom floral hints with hay and cream nuances.
Sasquatch® is a good choice for Ales, IPAs, Hop Forward Lagers and Pale Ales.
It plays well with Amarillo® (US), Calypso™, Cascade (US), Centennial (US), Chinook (US), Citra®, Columbus (US), Mandarina Bavaria, and Perle (GR).
